Issue: I replaced my phone. How do I enroll the new phone for Okta Verify? Para español

Resolution: You'll need to use a different previously enrolled option in order to authenticate at okta.nd.edu.  You can then enroll the new phone by following these steps:

Note:  If you do not have any other options enrolled and cannot follow the steps below, contact the OIT Help Desk (call 574-631-8111, chat at servicenow.nd.edu or visit 115 DeBartolo Hall) for assistance.  We will need to verify your identity and that cannot be done via email.

  1. Login at okta.nd.edu  (if you are already logged into Okta, go to Step 4)
  2. If you are prompted for two step login, select an option that you previously enrolled that has NOT changed.
    1. For instance, if you got a new phone but the number stayed the same, you could use SMS or Voice Call instead if you previously enrolled those factors.
  3. When you have successfully logged on, click your name in the upper right corner of the screen and then choose Settings
  4. Click Edit Profile and respond to login prompts if needed
  5. Locate the Security Methods section and choose the factor that you wish to add or change by clicking the Set up, Set up another or Remove button beside it.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to enroll the new option.

For additional details on the options you can enroll please see this article.
